Xref is an online candidate referencing work flow tool that allows prospective employers to professionally conduct pre-employment reference checks on suitable candidates.

Xref was founded in 2009 by leading recruitment specialists. We understood that the present methods used to collect pre-employment references was fraught with risk.

• All too often employers were found taking references without the candidates consent.
• Asking discriminatory questions and not recording details correctly.
• In addition candidate's fraudulent referee's were costing companies time and money through misinformed recruitment decisions.

The Xref team set out to reduce fraudulent references, encourage unbiased feedback, eliminate discrimination and protect personal privacy at the same time as adding a level of automation and data management.

Xref underwent 2 years of development and testing before being formally launched in 2011. Since then Xref has been providing candidate referencing services to HR consultants, recruiters and employers alike.
